After performing the holy Hajj, a total of 3,920 Bangladeshis returned home so far. Meanwhile, 35 Bangladeshis died during the Hajj rituals.
They had returned on 10 flights by Saturday morning (June 22) as return flights began last Thursday (June 20), according to the daily bulletin of the IT Helpdesk on the Hajj portal on Saturday.

In the meantime, this year, over a thousand people have died in Saudi Arabia due to extreme heat and unbearable temperatures while performing Hajj. The Saudi authorities have reported that these Hajj pilgrims died due to the severe heatwave.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has reported that so far, 35 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died while performing Hajj. Out of these, 17 died before the official start of the Hajj, and the remaining 18 died after the start of the Hajj rituals.
According to the Hajj bulletin from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the 35 deceased pilgrims include 28 men and seven women. Among them, 28 died in Mecca, four in Medina, two in Mina, and one in Jeddah.
According to Saudi Arabian law, if a person dies while performing Hajj, their body is buried in Saudi Arabia. It is not allowed to bring the body back to their home country, and no objections from family members are entertained. If a Hajj pilgrim dies in Mecca, the funeral prayer is held at the Masjid al-Haram.
