FARIDPUR: Two drivers were killed and at least 20 passengers injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Senkhali Bridge area under Madhukhali upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Assistant Police Super of the district Kamaruzzaman told banglanews that two passenger buses collided head-on on Dhaka-Khulna highway in the area around 5:00pm, leaving two drivers dead on the spot 20 passengers injured.

The injured were rushed to Madhukhali Upazila Health Complex and Faridpur Medical College Hospital, he added.

The bodies were sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, he added.
