Sifat Kabir, Senior Newsroom Editor of Banglanews24, will join the prestigious “SputnikPro Writing Skills” programme in Russia as part of the “New Generation” initiative.

Organised by Russia’s Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo), the event will bring together more than 30 delegates from 28 countries. Sifat Kabir is the only participant selected by Sputnik from Bangladesh.

During the programme, he will represent both Bangladesh and Banglanews, delivering a speech on the state of journalism in the country. He and other young professionals will engage with leading media experts on topics such as the evolution of media formats, fact-checking standards, the role of modern internet technologies, the challenges of fake news, social media’s influence, and the production of news and analytical programmes. Participants will also take part in hands-on training sessions.
