MOULVIBAZAR: A freedom fighter (FF) was killed and three others were injured in a road accident at Komolganj upazila in the district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as freedom fighter Roma Pada Dey, 58, hailed from Salon village in Tilagaon union under Kulaura upazila.

The injured were rushed to Sreemangal Upazila Health Complex and Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital.

Local people said a pickup van knocked a passenger carrying Sreemangal-bound auto-rickshaw on Kamolganj-Sreemangal road in Magurchora area of the upazila around 3:00pm, leaving Roma dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Komolganj Thana Nihar Ranjan Nath confirmed the matter to banglanews.
