DHAKA: Three more pilgrims died at Ijtema ground on the bank of Turag River early hours of the third day of three-day meet.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Gazipur civil surgeon Dr Shah Alam Sharif confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Murubbi of Biswa Ijtema Md Gias Uddin said the Namaz-e-Janaza of three more pilgrims was held in front to main stage of Ijtema after Fajr prayers.
Earlier, six pilgrims, including a Yemeni citizen died of old age complications, due to cold weather, diarrhea and heart attack in last two days of Ijtema, known as the world’s second-largest congregation of Muslims.
