SATKHIRA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel, in a drive, recovered 25.5 Kilogram silver from border area under Kalaroa upazila of the district on Saturday night.

Subedar Abul Kalam of Madra BOP under Satkhira-8 battalion BGB told banglanews that acting on tip off, they conducted a drive in Uttar Vadialy village near the border area under Kalaroa upazila around 9:30pm.

During the time, smugglers fled the scene leaving sacks of silver behind which worth about Tk 28,50,900, he added.
