Home Adviser Brig Gen (Retd) M Sakhawat Hossain today (August 13) said Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) from now on won’t turn its back on the border.
He also urged the members of BGB to stand firm on the border as the era of retreating is over.
“Don’t turn your backs in the border areas. Enough is enough,” he said.
He was talking to journalists after visiting the BGB members now receiving treatment at the BGB Hospital at its Pilkhana Headquarters this noon.
“Our people are killed in the bordering area while the BGB men are forced to hold flag meetings. And after the meeting, it was said that everything is fine. I told the BGB men not to turn their backs on the border,” he said.
