Chandpur: Detective police arrested four suspected drug peddlers with 10 kg ganja and 69 bottles of narcotic Phensidyl syrup in the district on Friday morning, as an anti-drug drive is underway in different parts of the country.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB police raided Kakoyrtala Bazar in Shaharasti upazila and arrested two young men and two young women along with the drugs.

Arrested Selina, 30, Sheuli, 25, Bachchu, 32, and Belal, 35, hailed from Comilla and Munshiganj districts, were taken under police custody.

A case was filed with Shahrasti police station in this connection.
