The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning and temporary gusty wind in most parts of the country over the next 24 hours from 9am Sunday.

According to a met office bulletin, rain is likely at most places in Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

Moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur in some areas of Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions.

Day temperatures may fall slightly in the southern part and remain nearly unchanged elsewhere, while night temperatures are expected to stay the same.

The country’s highest temperature on Saturday was 35°C in Dimla, Rangpur, while the lowest was 23.6°C in Bandarban.

In Dhaka, sunset is at 6:50pm today and sunrise is at 5:15am tomorrow.
