Ex-PM’s adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi arrested

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s power, energy, and mineral resources affairs adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury was arrested in Dhaka.

A team of the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested him in Gulshan area on Tuesday night.

Confirming the matter, DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallik said Tawfiq-e-Elahi was taken to the DB office.
