Detective Branch (DB) of Police claimed to have arrested Rongdhanu Group Director Mizanur Rahman Mizan on Tuesday.

A DB team carried out a raid in Bhatara area of Dhaka this noon and arrested Mizan, also former chairman of Rupganj Upazila Parishad.  

Later, the law enforcers took him to DB office on Mintu Road.  

Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (ADC) of DMP Media and Public Relations Department Obaidur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

He said that Mizan, director of Rangdhanu Group, was arrested from Bhatara area on Tuesday as he is accused in many cases.

According to the Detective (DB) police, there are several cases against him, including a case filed in connection with the loss of life in the anti-discrimination student movement. After the arrest, Mizan was reportedly taken to the DB office.
