CHITTAGONG: A ‘Children’s Centre for Recreation’ had recently been inaugurated at the century-old Fatenagar Govt Primary School at Chandanaish in Chittagong.

The students will get recreation facilities at the centre. Financial Specialist of the World Bank Suraiya Jannat inaugurated the center, financed by the school’s donor member Ziauddin Adil.

Advocate Shamsuddin Tipu, additional PP of Chittagong; Salma Adil, chief financial officer of Top of Mind; Nur Mohammad, officer for secondary education; Rahela Aktar, headmistress of the school, among others, were present at the inaugural ceremony.

In her speech, Suraiya Jannat hoped that this initiative would add more in proper mental growth of the students.

‘If the affluent people of society come forward to give children a delightful environment in their learning process, it will increase the number of students especially in the rural areas,’ she added.
The Center, first of it kind in the area, would help students learn in a pleasant atmosphere, Ziauddin Adil also hoped.

‘Children will be more attached to their school and academic activities through different lively activities at the Center,’ he added.
