Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind in all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours from 9 am today (September 25).
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at some places over the country," it said.
Day temperature may fall by 2-5 degrees Celsius and night temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius in Netrokona of Mymensingh division while today's minimum temperature was 24.3 degrees Celsius jointly in Dimla of Rangpur Division and Koyra in Khulna Division.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded 107 mm in Dimla of Rangpur Division.
The sun sets at 5:52pm today and rises at 5:49 am tomorrow in the capital.
