AKM Nurul Haque Bali, father of Banglanews24.com newsroom editor Mohammad Nahian, has passed away. He was 70.

He breathed his last in the early hours of Friday (August 22), while undergoing treatment at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital, Nahian said.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, and many admirers and well-wishers.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held after the Asr prayer at the central field of Satla.

AKM Nurul Haque Bali was a former vice-president of the Ujirpur Thana unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in Barishal, and also served as the former president of the Satla Union BNP. He was president of the managing committee of Satla Higher Secondary School for 17 years.

Meanwhile, Banglanews Editor Tawhidul Islam Mintu has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nahian’s father. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
