Mosquito spray makes 15 kids sick in Patuakhali

PATUAKHALI: Fifteen students from a kindergarten school at Kolapara in Patukhali were hospitalized after they reportedly came in contact with a chemical spray used for killing mosquitoes.

The incident took place on Wednesday night at Alphabet Coaching Centre near to Pouro Bhaban of ward-4 of the district twon.

Guardians of the students told banglanews that some municipality staffs were spraying of mosquito killing chemical around the Alphabet Coaching Centre. On request of a teacher of this Coaching Centre, they also sprayed the chemical inside the organization. Within the moment, students fall sick after inhaling the chemical.

Amongst them, Arpita, Sayem, Joy, Jidan, Riman, Fhyam, and Momota were rushed to Kolapara Hospital.

Municipal Mayor Rakibul Islam said to banglanews that the officials were spraying mosquito killing chemical maintaining the rules.
