Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (October 10) predicted light to moderate rain at different places across the country for the next 24 hours beginning from 9 this morning.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country," according to a BMD release.
Monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. The monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 35.3 degree Celsius at Khepupara and minimum temperature was recorded 23.0 degree Celsius at Chuadanga.
Highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 54 millimeters(mm) at Khumarkhali under Khulna division.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
