Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has reached China on an official visit, the Bangladesh Army confirmed in a press statement on Thursday (Aug 21).

Waker-uz-Zaman would hold discussions with Chinese authorities on improving bilateral military cooperation, said the statement published on the Army’s official Facebook page.

He would also pay courtesy calls on military and non-military high officials of China during the tour.

On 27 August, the army chief is expected to return home.
