Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted light to moderate rain at different places across the country for the next 24 hours from 9am today (Oct 12).
According to the BMD bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy falls at some places over the country.
Monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.4 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur and minimum temperature today was recorded 23.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 30 millimeters (mm) at Hatiya.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
