Additional Inspector General of Police Md Motiur Rahman Sheikh has been appointed as the chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The home ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday (Oct 16).

After taking charge of the CID as its chief, Motiur joined an introductory meeting with the agency’s officers and employees, and instructed them to abide by principles in discharging duties, said a press release of the CID.
