DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Sushil Koirala, the newly elected Prime Minister of Nepal.
In a message, the Bangladesh premier expressed that Nepal would complete proliferation of constitution at the earliest possible time under the leadership of Sushil Koirala.

Sheikh Hasina said that Bangladesh and Nepal are close neighbors sharing outstanding mutual relations based on common cultural, linguistic, historical linkages that have strengthened in recent years.

The Bangladesh PM also wished that the opportunities for cooperation between Bangladesh and Nepal are colossal, particularly in the areas of trade, connectivity, tourism, water resources management, energy, and hydro-power.

Sheikh Hasina recalled with deep gratitude the courageous contribution made by the friends from Nepal during the glorious War of Liberation in 1971.
