Four individuals have been invited to take oath as advisers to the interim government today.
The new advisers are Professor Md. Sayedur Rahman, businessman Sheikh Bashir Uddin, filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, and the Chief Advisor’s special assistant Mahfuz Alam.
The swearing-in ceremony for these new advisers is scheduled to take place at Bangabhaban on Sunday (Nov 10) evening.
Reliable sources have confirmed that they have received invitations for the oath-taking ceremony.
According to Cabinet Division sources, up to four or five new advisors may take the oath, and a reshuffle of portfolios for some existing advisors may also occur.
The interim government, led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus as Chief Advisor, was formed on August 8, shortly after Sheikh Hasina stepped down in the face of the student-led movement. Initially consisting of 17 advisors, four additional advisors were sworn in later that month.
