DHAKA: A businessman, who was drugged by a gang of Agyan Party on Friday midnight at Karwan bazar, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Delwar Hosain, 55, hailed from Nagarkanda upazila of Faridpur district.

The members of Agyan Party, a gang of criminals who drug people before mugging, targeted him when he went to Karwan Bazar to buy fruits for business purpose.

Delwar was rushed to the DMCH in an unconscious state where he succumbed to his injures at 6:15am.

As per his death certificate, he died due to consumption of poison.
