Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has called for patience and professionalism in efforts to restore peace and order in the country.

He made the remarks on Monday (February 24) while speaking as the chief guest at the closing and award ceremony of the annual firing competition at the firing range of Savar Cantonment.

He said that the army remains engaged in various responsibilities, including assisting civil power and maintaining national security. While they initially expected to complete the task quickly and return to the cantonments, the work has been prolonged. 

Waker-Uz-Zaman urged soldiers to remain patient and carry out their duties with professionalism, as their service is crucial for the country and the nation.

General Waker-Uz-Zaman further said that the army must continue its work until an elected government is in place and the country achieves peace and stability. 

He also said that undisciplined actions should be avoided during the development process.
