Bangladesh has been placed 181st in the 2024 Nomad Passport Index, published by global consultancy firm Nomad Capitalist on Friday.
The index ranks 200 passports based on visa-free access, taxation, global perception, and personal freedoms. Bangladesh scored 38 out of 110, allowing its passport holders access to 50 countries visa-free or with visa on arrival.
Neighbouring Nepal ranked slightly higher at 180th with 39.5 points, while Myanmar came in at 182nd. India ranked 148th, and Pakistan stood at 195th.
Ireland topped the index for the first time with a score of 109, surpassing European countries like Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Sweden.
