SUF Mukarrema Reza, the mother-in-law of late Arafat Rahman Koko, passed away early Sunday (April 6) at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. She was 71.

Mukarrema had been receiving treatment for multiple health issues and died at 3:45 am. 

Her daughter, Syeda Sharmila Rahman Sithi, arrived in Dhaka from London on March 30 after learning of her mother's illness.

Her Namaz-e-Janaza will be held after Asr prayers at the Old DOHS ground in Banani, followed by burial at Banani Graveyard. 

She is survived by two sons and one daughter. Her husband, HM Hasan Reza, passed away in 2017.

BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman expressed his condolences and prayed for her soul’s peace.
