Light rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds and lightning may occur in some parts of the country within the next 24 hours from 9am on Sunday, according to the Met Office.

Rangpur, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions may see rain in a few areas, while one or two places in Mymensingh, Khulna and Dhaka divisions may also experience rainfall, the forecast said.

Other part of the country, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies.

Meanwhile, a mild heat wave is sweeping over Chattogram, Rangamati, Feni, Bandarban and Bagerhat, which may continue.

In Dhaka, winds are likely to blow from the west or northwest at 8 to 12 kph. The relative humidity in the capital was recorded at 60 percent at 6pm on Saturday.
