Bangladesh has officially reinstated the phrase “this passport is valid for all countries of the world except Israel” in its passports, reaffirming the travel ban for its citizens to israel, officials confirmed today.
The directive was issued by the home ministry’s security services division on April 7, according to deputy secretary nilima afroze.
The phrase had been removed in 2021 under the awami league-led government, citing international standards for passport formatting, though the travel ban policy remained unchanged.
