17 skeletons stolen from Pabna’s Sujanagar graveyard 

Seventeen skeletons have reportedly been stolen from the central graveyard in Birahimpur under Ahmadpur Union of Sujanagar upazila in Pabna district.

The robbery took place on late Thursday night (July 3), when unidentified miscreants dug up several new and old graves and removed the skeletons, said locals.

On Friday morning, residents noticed several graves had been disturbed and found human bones missing. The incident immediately created panic and shock in the area. Villagers and relatives of the deceased rushed to the graveyard in disbelief after the news spread.

Upon receiving information, police from Aminpur Police Station visited the site and started a preliminary investigation.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Aminpur Police Station said, “As soon as we were informed, we visited the spot. The matter is being taken seriously and is under thorough investigation.”
