The Supreme Court administration has issued a special directive instructing all courts across Bangladesh to publish their daily cause lists fully online.
A circular signed by Supreme Court Registrar General Muhammad Habibur Rahman Siddiqui, on October 7, emphasized that although an online cause list system has already been fully developed, many district courts are not updating their daily schedules regularly.
As a result, litigants are often compelled to visit court premises in person to obtain information about their cases.
The circular stated that this lack of regular updates is creating difficulties for justice-seekers in accessing judicial information.
It underscored that keeping the online cause list system up to date is essential to ensure that the benefits of judicial digitalization reach the public effectively.
Referring to previous instructions on this matter, the Supreme Court noted that compliance has been inadequate.
It reiterated that regular and proper updating of the online cause list system is mandatory for all courts to facilitate judicial modernization and make legal services more accessible.
