The Election Commission (EC) on Sunday (August 10) released the draft of the updated national voter list, offering citizens a 12-day window to correct any errors in their personal information.

Director of Public Relations at the EC, Md Shariful Alam, said the draft lists have been displayed at the offices of upazila and thana election officers across the country. 

Residents can verify their details and apply for corrections if inaccuracies are found, he added.

According to EC data, the latest update adds approximately 4.4 million new voters, whose information has been included in the supplementary draft.

Following the publication of the supplementary voter list, eligible citizens may submit applications—using Form-2, Form-12, Form-13, or Form-14—for inclusion of names, removal of deceased or ineligible voters, transfer of voter registration, and rectification of any discrepancies. Applications must be submitted by 21 August.

The relevant upazila or thana election and registration officers will process these requests by 24 August. The final voter list will be published on 31 August, after the completion of all formalities.

The country currently has 12,37,32,274 registered voters. The EC also confirmed that individuals turning 18 by 31 October will be eligible for inclusion in the voter list for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.
