Police have arrested 46 people involved in various criminal activities during special operations in crime-prone areas under six police stations of Dhaka’s Tejgaon division over the past 48 hours.

According to a police press release, the arrestees include drug dealers, active robbers and thieves, terrorists, warranted accused, and identified habitual criminals.

The detainees are: Rohan (20), Md Payel (20), Mohammad Hossain (20), Md Nasir (25), Zahirul alias Deen Islam (28), Md Palash (22), Md Tamim (19), Md Shahidul Islam (28), Md Shanto (22), Md Tipu (36), Rahul (18), Joynal Jhanu (45), Sohel (18), Shanto (22), Zahid Hasan (35), Sajib (38), Liton (35), Roni (32), Abdul Malek Munna (24), Shukkar Ali (21), Shakil (22), Hazera Begum (55), Yusuf Ali (66), Shamim (22), Amit Hasan (26), Md Sajib Ali (20), Md Laden (20), Md Sumon Mia (22), Md Omar Faruk (21), Md Rifat Sikder (19), Alamin (26), Md Sumon (22), Md Enamul (23), Akash (21), Md Tariqul Islam (25), Md Faisal (26), Syed Yunus Ali (62), Shahidul Islam alias Sihabur Rahman Shipu (21), Md Nurul Islam (54), Roni (20), Md Sumon Islam (22), Md Selim Mia (45), Md Shefali Akhter (32), Md Sabuj (28), and Md Jasim (40).

Several sharp weapons, including chapatis and switch knives, were recovered from their possession.
