A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in the capital’s Pallabi area early today.

The deceased, Mohammad Emon Molla, 26, son of Mohammad Ali Molla, was a resident of Pallabi in Mirpur.

According to police and hospital sources, the accident occurred around 1:45am when a pickup truck hit Emon’s motorcycle from behind as he was heading to Pallabi from Mirpur.

He sustained critical injuries after falling from the bike and was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
