The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, at many places across the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9:00 am today.
According to a BMD bulletin this morning, rainfall is likely at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions. Moderately heavy to heavy rainfall is expected in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
The meteorological office also predicted a drop in daytime temperature by 1–2 degrees Celsius, with night temperatures falling slightly across the country. BMD noted that the monsoon is currently fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay.
On Monday, Sylhet recorded the highest temperature at 38.0°C, while Bandarban had the lowest at 23.8°C. In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:16 pm today and rise at 5:40 am tomorrow.
