Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, who became a state witness in a case over crimes against humanity during the July Uprising, is scheduled to testify today (September 2) against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
The prosecution said International Crimes Tribunal-1, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mojumder, will record Mamun's deposition.
Earlier, on 10 July, Mamun voluntarily agreed to become a state witness in the case and admitted his own involvement. So far, 35 witnesses have testified in the trial, according to tribunal officials.
