Bangladesh has strongly condemned the brutal killing of three Bangladeshi citizens by a mob in Tripura, India, on October 15.
In a statement issued on Friday, the government described the incident as a “heinous act” and a “grave violation of human rights and the rule of law.” It expressed deep concern and urged the Indian authorities to launch an immediate, impartial, and transparent investigation into the killings.
Dhaka also called on New Delhi to ensure that those responsible are identified and brought to justice, and to take effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
Reaffirming its stance on the protection of human rights, the statement added that all individuals, irrespective of nationality, deserve full protection under the law, even if they inadvertently cross international borders.
