COMILLA: Reckless driving took a life in the district when an oil`laden truck of Jamuna Oil Company ran over a pedestrian on Dhaka` Chittagong Highway in Daudkandi upazila Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Hossain Mia, 24.

Police quoting witnesses said, ”A Dhaka bound oil`laden truck rammed Hossain in front of Gouripur press club in Daudkandi upazila at 9:00 am leaving him dead on the spot.”

Locals caught the truck and handed over to police. The driver, however, managed to flee away form the scene.
