Eight overseas job seekers return

DHAKA: Eight Bangladeshi youths have returned from Malaysia Saturday as their bid to seek job in New Zealand was smashed by brokers.

The victims, aged between 25 and 35, are Nesar Uddin, Shanto Ghosh, Abul Kasem, Abu Al Rajin, Abdur Rahim, Ruhul Amin, Md Kamrul Islam, and Rashed Hossain.

The youths were stuck in Malaysia for two months, IMA Research Foundation, an emigration research body, said. The IMA brought them back home in cooperation with humanr ights body Ain O Salish Kendra.

The brokers offered them lucrative agricultural jobs in New Zealand and amassed Tk 5-7 lakh from each, said IMA official Anisur Rahman Khan.
