Dhaka: Pallabi Thana Police arrested a fugitive accused alongwith a revolver and six bullets in the city’s Mirpur area early Sunday.

The arrested was identified as Mohammad Russell, 28.

Officer-in-Charge of Pallabi Thana Iqbal Hossain said on suspicion, a patrol police team challenged 5/6 persons who were gossiping in front of Millat Camp in Mirpur-11 area at around 3:00am.

After searching Russell, police recovered a foreign made revolver and six bullets from his possession.

Police said Russell was wanted in two murder cases filed with Islampur Thana of Jamalpur district in January and March this year.  

An arms case was filed with Pallabi Thana in this connection.
