SAVAR: Three people were killed in two separate road accidents in Jamgara and Beron areas of Ashulia here on Sunday.

Sources said the accident occurred when a pick-up van collided head on with a mixer-van for construction work on Bipile-Abdullahpur Road at Zirabo.

The pick-up van driver and helper received seriously wounded and later succumbed to their injuries at Anam Medical College Hospital.

The deceased could not be identified till filing of this report.

In another incident, a youth was killed when speedy maxi ran over him in Beron area here.

The deceased was identified as Haran Raju, 25, hailed from Nurpur under Jessore district.

Police seized the maxi.

Two separate cases were filed with Ashulia Thana in this connection.
