JESSORE: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid Sunday announced that a new pay scale would be prepared for the teachers as the government is willing to see them highest-paid.

“Modern technology will have to be provided within the reach of the mass people to advance the nation using modern technology,” said the minister at the freshers’ reception at Jessore Science and Technology University.  

Nahid regretted that a number of education policies had been formulated in the country on several occasions, but those were not implemented.

“Our renowned educationists approved the education policy initiated by this government. That is why it would not be changed even if Awami League is not in power,” said the minister.

Earlier, the minister inaugurated university telephone exchange and cafeteria.
