ISHWARDI, PABNA: A man allegedly committed suicide after slaughtering his wife over family feud in Ishwardi town of the district on Thursday night.

The deceased were identified as Imran, 22, son of Amena Begum of Sirajganj and Alo Khatun, 18, daughter of Alam Hossain of Pabna.

Alo’s mother Sima Khatun told banglanews, “Imran and Alo had a love marriage six months ago and they lived in our house.”

“On Thursday midnight we found Imran hanging from ceiling and slaughtered Alo in the floor,” she added.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Thana Biman Kumar Das said, “The bodies have been sent to Pabna Medical College Hospital and further details can be said after getting the report.”
