4 BD nationals killed in Kuwait road crash

DHAKA: At least four Bangladeshi citizens were killed and nine others injured in a road accident in Jahara Amghara area of Kuwait early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Israfil, son of Haji Shamsuddin of Faridpur district, Shawkat Sheikh, son of Jobbar Sheikh of Madaripur district, Nasir Uddin, son of Lihas Uddin of Manikganj district and Nazir Ahmed, son of Nur Ahmed, also of Manikganj.

Foreign Affairs Ministry made the disclosure in a press release on Monday evening.

Foreign ministry official said, of the injured, five--Anwarul Sheikh of Faridpur, Abdur Rab Khan of Manikganj, Babul, Salam and Dewan Ali--were kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The fatally injured Bangladeshis--Siraj of Faridpur, Belal of Comilla, Abdur Rahman of Manikganj and Hannan of Madaripur—were admitted to Jahra, Farwaniya and Sabah Hospitals.
