Man crushed under train in city

DHAKA:  A pedestrian was crushed under wheels of a train in capital’s Nakhalpara area on Tuesday noon.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said a train hit the man, aged at 50, at around 1:00pm while passing through the East Nakhalpara rail crossing, leaving him injured critically.

Locals rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Kamalapur railway police (GRP) Officer-in-Charge Abdul Majid confirmed it to banglanews.

The body has been kept at DMCH morgue.
