Gazipur: A 65-kilometer-long traffic gridlock on Dhaka-Tangail highway pushed hundreds of homebound passengers into serious sufferings on Friday.

The jam started from Bangabandhu Bridge to Gorai. Vehicles of some 26 district ply through the area.

Besides, centering Chandra intersection, the vehicles, carrying passengers on occasion of Eid, are moving very slowly.

Sub-Inspector of Konabari Police outpost Rabiul Islam told banglanews that police were trying best to ease the jam.
