COMILLA: Rail communications on Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes restored after a three and half-an-hour halt due to derailment on Saturday.
Earlier, four wheels of a compartment of the Chittagong-bound train from Sylhet veered off the tracks in Brahmanpara Upazila at around 10:30am that halted rail communication of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet.
Train movement resumed around 2:00pm after a rescue train cleared the tracks.
Regarding the matter, railway assistant engineer Irfanul Islam told banglanews, “Rescue train from Akhaura rushed to the spot at around 1:00pm and salvaged the derailed train.
