CHITTAGONG: A case was filed against BNP leaders, including city BNP president Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, on charge of arson during blockade on Wednesday at the Chatteswari intersection of the port city.

Sub-Inspector of Chakbazar Thana Touhidul Anwar told banglanews that Sub-Inspector Shiben Biswas filed the lawsuit with the thana mentioning 67 names and many other unnamed persons on Thursday.

The accused include advisor to the party’s Chairperson Mir M Nasir Uddin, central organizing secretary Golam Akbar Khandaker, general secretary of city BNP Dr Shahadat Hossain and city Jamaat  Amir ANM Shamsul Islam MP.
