DHAKA: Senior presidium member of Jatiya Party Raushon Ershad, also wife of former President HM Ershad, is set to take charge of the office of the opposition leader of the parliament on Tuesday.

Sources from the party said that they called for a meeting of the parliament members from the party.

HM Ershad also is likely to attend the meeting, sources added.

Presidium member Syed Abu Hossain Babla MP said that the meeting will be held at the Jatiya Sangsad office around 11:00am.

Assistant office secretary of the party Abu Hasan Ahmed Jewel told banglanews that Raushon Ershad will assume the office of the opposition leader on Tuesday.

Sources said that female parliamentarians for reserved seats will be nominated along with the selection of the deputy leader of parliamentarians of the party and chief whip.
