Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASOD) president and former information minister Hasanul Haq Inu, Bangladesh Workers Party (BWP) president and former civil aviation and tourism minister Rashed Khan Menon, and former state minister for information and communication technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak were shown arrested today in one more murder case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifur Rahman passed the order upon a petition filed by police to show the trio arrested in their presence in a case filed over killing of grocery shop owner Mizanur in firing at the city's Khilgaon area on July 19 during the anti-discrimination student movement.
Inu, Menon and Palak were respectively rounded up from the city's Uttara, Gulshan and Nikunja residential areas under Khilkhet Police Station on August 26, August 22 and August 14. Since their arrest, they were taken on remands in separate murder cases for several occasions.
