Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami leaders met Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin at the Election Commission headquarters in Dhaka on Monday (October 13).
The meeting began at around 12:15 pm at Nirbachan Bhaban.
A party delegation led by Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher took part in the talks, where issues including a possible referendum were expected to be discussed, according to officials familiar with the agenda.
The engagement takes place amid the Commission’s ongoing outreach with political parties ahead of the next national elections.
