CHITTAGONG: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, will visit Satkania upazila of the district on March 1 to address a rally.

District (South) Awami League general secretary Mofizur Rahman made the disclosure in a press conference at Chittagong Press Club on Sunday.

This will be the first visit in the upazila of any Prime Minister of the country, he added.

Besides, Chittagong city Awami League called for a long march towards Satkania protesting continuous sabotage in the area by Jamaat-Shibir.

Local Awami League also called for a rally in Botola area of Lohagara upazila on February 3 protesting the attack on Dr Abu Reza Muhammad Nejamuddin Nadvi MP.

District (South) Awami League President Moslem Uddin, Dr Abu Reza Muhammad Nejamuddin Nadvi MP and Nazrul Islam Chowdhury MP were among others present on the occasion.
